On Tuesday 13 October 2026, the French Official Journal of associations (JOAFE) published the declaration founding the Association for Free Technologies and Alternative Scientific Applications — ATLAS. Behind this formality lies a founding milestone: the project you support now exists in law.

Since 4 June, more than 250 members have joined us on the strength of our publications, our measurements and our exchanges — before the association even existed on paper. This publication gives that trust a legal framework: ATLAS can now sign contracts, open a bank account in its own name, file and manage patents, and enter into partnerships in its own right.

Our purpose, as declared

The articles of association set five missions. They guide every decision and every commitment we make:

  1. Research, develop, protect and disseminatealternative technologies in the fields of energy, electromagnetism and mechanics.
  2. Train and pass onscientific and technical knowledge.
  3. Incubateentrepreneurial projects with an alternative-technology focus.
  4. Protect innovationby filing and managing patents and intellectual property rights.
  5. Cooperateby developing national and international partnerships.

What it changes for you

  1. Your membership remains valid — nothing to doYour number, your card and your founder rate (€50/year, guaranteed for life) are unchanged.
  2. Next step: a bank account in the association’s nameIt will pave the way for card payment on the website. We will let you know as soon as it is up and running.
  3. Written, binding governanceThe articles and internal rules now set out everyone’s rights, how the accounts are kept and how spending is controlled.

The internal rules: the essentials

Adopted unanimously at the founding general meeting of 19 September 2026, the internal rules supplement the articles of association in 24 articles grouped under 8 titles. Here are the key points.

  1. Membership and feesWritten application to the board, answer within thirty days. Standard fee: €150/year, reduced to €50 for the first 1,000 members. Fees are final (except for a confirmed payment error); donations are irrevocable.
  2. Your rights as a memberA personal, non-transferable card gives access to the archives, general meetings, internal events and at least 20% off training courses.
  3. The laboratory and safetyThe registered office and the laboratory are both in La Souterraine. Members may access it with the president’s authorisation, after signing a waiver. Non-negotiable rules: protective equipment, mandatory buddy system for any high-voltage work, safety log.
  4. Intellectual property and confidentialityAny development carried out within ATLAS belongs to the association; prior work remains its author’s, with the InfiniX patent covered by a contribution agreement. A strict duty of confidentiality applies to everyone.
  5. Technical committee and incubatorA technical committee — the president, the legal adviser, Pierrick Morin (honorary member, lead technical expert) and co-opted experts — assesses projects. Incubator applications are reviewed within thirty days, notably on their alternative nature, feasibility and open-source potential.
  6. TrainingApproved by the board, with at least 20% off for members. Full refund if ATLAS cancels a session.
  7. Governance and transparencyBoard meetings at least quarterly with minutes, a written monthly report from each board member, indicators per role and financial commitments governed by thresholds, from the president alone up to informing the general meeting.
  8. DisciplineA graduated, adversarial procedure: written warning, temporary suspension, then exclusion decided by the general meeting after the person concerned has been heard.

The founder rate — €50/year instead of €150, guaranteed for life — remains reserved for the first 1,000 members. Now is the time to go from reader to member of a fully constituted association.
